WHMP: 8 June 2017
Today I wore the jewellery I was given for my birthday, being a pair of earrings and necklace with the tree of life on them. These pieces are some much more than pretty bling. They symbolise every part of my new found appreciation for life as a result of my sleeve, and Percy.
The tree of life symbolised:
- Personal growth (well I am actually downsizing but my being is growing everyday)
- Redemption
- Protection
- Generosity
- Strength
- Wisdom
- Bounty
- Beauty
- Family
I think all these words totally encapsulate everything I am hoping to achieve on this journey.
Actually strike that…..
I think these words totally capture everything that I have already achieved so far and that I will continue to keep achieving. I am so bloody proud of myself!
I have decided however that the world is playing tricks with my mind. Both yesterday and today as I was attempting to leave work the car next to mine had parked so ridiculously close to my car that not even Twiggy herself would have been able to get into the car.
Pre-surgery Holly would have waddled off to the closest food outlet and ordered something to eat and drink while waiting for the other driver to leave so that I could get into my car.
Not anymore!! Now I get in through the passengers side and much to my delight I actually slide over the console and into the driver seat without any problems. The universe, thanks to other selfish parkers, is reminding me to stop and appreciate the little wins but massive lifestyle rewards along the way.
